Kevin Dixon brings together learning from different strands of experience in his chapter "Energy World" in "Mindful Consulting" (edited by Karen Izod and Sue Whittel) published and available from Karnac now.
Mind-ful Consulting offers a collection of practice-based stories from the field of organisational consultation and change across public and private sector organisations. The stories show how an ability 'to think in the moment' and access a repertoire of consulting roles are core-capabilities when helping clients to develop and organisations to change.
All chapters are written by members and Associates of the Advanced organisational Consultation Society of the Tavistock Institute.
Kevin's chapter is particulalry useful for accountants and financial managers working across organisational boundaries and taking up leadership roles. Kevin identifies the need for the ability to navigate effectively through ethical challenges whilst maintaining high standards of behaviour, at a time of increasing complexity and economic challenge and decision making dilemmas.
